The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy study of anti- AIDS herbomineral drug LAA in HIV infected patients. Study was consisted of total 80 volunteer and divided into two groups. Group I was healthy subjects and serve as control whereas group II was patient group and treated with LAA01 anti-AIDS drug for one month. Our findings suggested that there was significantly found to be increased viral load and CD3 Count in patient groups as compared with control group. After treatment with anti-AIDS drug LAA for 30 days, these viral load parameter was found significant decreased along with increased the CD4 andCD8 cell counts and their respective percentage. A significant improvement was found in hematological and biochemical parameters of patients group as compared with control healthy groups. On the basis of these findings it is concluded that herbo mineral drug LAA 01 is not only a viridicidal that decrease in HIV load, but also enhanced immunity as is evident from increases in CD4 and CD8 counts and their respective percentage, which maintained the quality of life (QOL) of the patients.
A total 118 HIV infected patients were enrolled at three city (Lucknow, Noida and Delhi ) of Lavanya Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Centre for Cancer, AIDS and Hepatitis in the study. Patients were male and female and their ages were from 8 years to 70 years. The study was performed after getting approval from Institutional Ethical committees. Informed constant was taken to individual subjects prior to collection of blood sample.
All hematological parameters such as hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (HCT), were measured by fully automatic cell counter.
LDH activity was measured by kit according to protocol provided by supplier (Tranasia biomedical). The activity was expressed as an IU/ml.
Viral load, CD4 CD8 CD3, and CD4/CD8 ratio were measured by ELISA method.
Resulting data were expressed mean ± SD. Percentage parenthesis was observed between pre vs post treatment with LAS02 drug in cervix patients. Newman Kaul post t test was performed for statistical significance between pre vs post treatment. Where *** is (p<0.0001, highly significant); ** (p<0.002, significant) and * ( p<0.05, less significant)
There were significant changes were observed in Hb, HCT levels of treated patients as compared with before treatment. The ESR Level were also significant decrease after treatment with herbomineral drug LAA as compared with before treatment. The percentage of CD4 were significant increased along with significant decreased viral load in LAA treated patients as compared with before treatment. LDH enzyme activity and CD8 count were also LAA treated patients in comparison to before treatment .
On the basis of above findings, it is concluded the LAA is most effective medicine for improvement of CD4 count which enhanced the immunity and decreased infection by evidence of decreased ESR levels and also increased hematological parameters.
