DAVYVAPASRAYA
Human body and mind are intimately related to Nature. Changes in season (summer, winter and rains) have direct impact on Vata, Pitta and Kafa as also on the elements of Rajas, Tames and Satva in us. Entire Nature is managed by time. Its impact on the life cycle i.e. childhood, youth and old age is inevitable. Nature is controlled by Chandra, Shani, Rahu and other planets. In Ayurveda, support of medical astrology is taken to ascertain the impact of the planets on different parts of the body. Based on this different specific Vedic Mantras are selected, Havans performed and religious charities are given to convert the adverse impact into favorable one. All this is called Devovyapasharya.
Many times people take this as unscientific and reject in disbelief. But it is also seen that when man is entangled in difficult situations and is left with no alternative, he takes recourse to all this. In Ayurveda no treatment is complete without inputs from medical astrology.
