CANCER

According to Ayurveda there are eight serious diseases (8 great diseases) Vat vyadhi (Neurological Disorder), Prameha (Diabetes), Kushta (Leprosy), Bhagandar (Piles), Asmari (Stone), Moodhagarbha(Unnatural conception and Udar Roga (gastro-intestinal Disease). If one suffers from any of these eight great diseases he/she should get fully treated. If proper treatment of these diseases has not been received then the patient has chances of contracting cancer.

How can one know that he/she has Cancer or may be heading towards it.
A list is given below to alert you against the possibility of Cancer which may be got confirmed by some appropriate medical counsel or test.
  • A wound that does not heal up.
  • Formation of a wart beneath the breast or any other part of the body.
  • Bleeding in an unnatural way or flow of pus.
  • Change in the shape of a beauty or dark spot or hard pimple.
  • Constant irritation in the throat, coughing and hoarse voice.
  • Difficulty in swallowing and continuous constipation.
  • A conspicuous change in the working of intestine.
  • Unnatural bleeding in the cases of women after menopause.
  • Irregularity in the menstruation cycle of women. Restarting of menses after stoppage, excessive discharge.
  • Appearance of blood in stools or urine.
  • Wound on the neck for a considerably long period.
  • Uncontrollable coughing, bleeding through sputum and difficulty in breathing.
  • Having ward in the breast, bleeding nipples or sinking of nipples.
  • Loss of body weight and feeling of fatigue on a regular basis.
  • If a wound is taking a relatively long time to heal up.

To what extent can cancer be treated in Allopathy

In order to answer this question we have to first explain the basic nature of the disease called cancer. It arises due to uncontrolled multiplication of cells within body. The disease involves disorder in the body at DNA level. For a long time even though cancer has set in the body, one does not come to know that he/she is suffering from it. Therefore the symptoms as mentioned above should be taken care of. In allopathic when a symptom says a wound is not healing up in a given time, then it requires pathological test, C.T. scan or ultrasound through which the growth if any can be seen. To confirm FNAC or biopsy test is carried out.

After this conclusive test the treatment followed is of 4 types or combination of any of these four operation, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and Hormonal treatment. It is held by allopathic doctors that cancer has four stages, the first and second stage cancer can be cured, but the third and fourth stages are taken as incurable. Operation in these last two stages leads to higher rate of multiplication of cancerous cells. Treatment goes on the lines of burning out or eradicating. The cancerous cells by means of radiation through X-Rays or Cobalt Rays which burns out healthy cells also along with the cancerous cells that are the target. Thus radio therapy has adverse side effect, because the cells earlier healthy but now damaged by radio therapy are prone to become cancerous. Chemotherapy is based on administering chemicals into the body’s cancerous cells. But chemicals cannot distinguish between cancerous and healthy cells and have adverse effect. Many a time due to excess of this treatment the normal process of formation of new cells on a daily basis is severely affected which leads the patient to imminent death in a very short time. When the capacity of the cells is deteriorated cancerous cells spread fast to other parts of the body. This process is known as metastasis. Due to radio and chemotherapy the patients develop such bodily features as thickening of the skin, weak digestion and hunger, dryness in the mouth, hair fall and thickening of veins, making it difficult to inject needle to even administer a drip to the patient. Even hormonal supplements are no safe answer to stop the uncontrolled multiplication of cells.

The most that these four types of treatment do is to provide comfort to the patients in bearing the pain of cancer. But they do not remove the root cause i.e. uncontrolled multiplication of the cells. The entire world is anxious to know if allopathy has arrived at the technique to eradicate the disease from its roots but alas the answer is no. At the best the modern allopathy is capable of extending the life of the cancer patients by a few months. And if the patient is groaning under pain then injections of steroid and morphine may reduce the extent of suffering and bring a slightly comfortable death. This is thus the extent to which allopathic treatment may lead us at present.

How is it possible to eradicate cancer from the roots by means of adopting ayurvedic therapy

Just because cancer is a cell’s DNA level disorder and the Ayurvedic approach to body treatment is based on removing the impurities from the search at the cell level it becomes possible to treat the disease from the roots.

To understand this we should know the three dosha Sidhant of Vata, Pitta and Kapha. By the example of the working of an engine we can understand this better.

When the compressor is active i.e. compression in the engine is built, then only the engine can move. This function of compressor can be equated with Vata in relation to the body as per Ayurveda. Now we may agree that if compression gets very high the engine might blast off, If it is less then the engine may not even pick-up. When compression is built up temperature also rises. This is the function of Pitta in our body. Now to exercise a control on temperature and make different parts of the engine work without causing friction, lubricant required. This function of lubrication or viscosity is maintained by kapha. If temperature or Pitta increase over too much the engine may be seized. If it is less then the engine may not start, if lubrication or viscosity is high the engine may misfire and if less it may seize. Now let us understand how the minutest part of the body i.e. a cell functions.

We know that the process of metabolism goes on in the body, which means at the minute ie; cell level also. Whatever intake of food and water etc that we have becomes grist to the fire of stomach (Jatharagni). Upon entry into the intestine the nutrients of the food under processing get converted into Rasa, Rakta, Mansa, Meda, Asthi, Majja, Shukra and oja, known in Ayurveda as Dhatus. During the process of digestion, whatever is rejected or remains is excreta or mala and is thrown out of the body. This entire process may be likened to the working of a Yagya in which offerings of Samidha are made at a regulated frequency into the Agnikunda. Normally when the fire is in its proper form within the Agnikunda, the offerings of Samidha would get converted into ashes. But if the fire is not in its good flare and the wood or offerings of Samidha are more than what the fire can burn in its given time, then there will be a lot of smoke and the Samidha offerings would get converted into coal instead of ashes, Similarly in our body if the fire in the belly or jatharagni is weak and offerings are over too much, then the excreta will be half-ripe which is called Aam in Ayurveda. This excretal disorder lead in further creation of gas. This process of conversion of intake of food into energy and excreta also happens in the domain of cells. We know that blood arteries reach nutrients to cells, where the fire element embedded in the cell triggers a process of metabolism. When this process is very slow and weak, the nutrients are not fully absorbed and converted into energy, but certain left-over remains which represents undigested/rejected substance, if it is not thrown out it leads to toxification within the cell which starts getting damaged. If this process of metabolism is disturbed, decay in the cells is accelerated. The decay may have three reasons i.e. Vata, Pitta and Kafa. If Kafa or lubricant of the body system is in excess then it causes contraction in the pores of the cells and they get choked leading to further damage to the cells.

If Pitta or temperature enhancing system of the body ionic activity on the outer walls of the cell is increased and the pores of the cells get choked. If Vata is in excess then it creates a kind of pressure from outside and the pores of the cells get choked. Now all the 3 causes result in one and the same effect that the pores of the cells get choked. In Ayurveda depending on the prior analysis of the patient that he/she is a Vat, Pitta or Kafa person the choking of the pores will be understood and treatment will be different according to whether one is categorised as Vata, Pitta or Kafa patient. A medicine which takes into account only the effect or symptom but has no depth understanding about specific or detailed cuase then in a Vata-excess person if the Vata inducing medicine is administered the effect will be adverse making the patient suffer yet more complications. In such a patient the cells may be further damaged driving then to the point of no return to curability.

According to Ayurveda there are six types of damages that may affect a cell viz assembling (Sanchaya), Place damage (Sthan Sansraya), Spreading out (Prasar), Infection (Prakop), damage (Vyakti), Total change (Bheda).

These are the stages of the decay of the cells. When the process of damage is over, the nucleus of the cell feels that it may not survive. Against this inpending danger its spontaneous and most natural response is to behave for self-protection even against the commands of the nervous system of the patient to which it was hitherto serving most obediently without any let-up. This can be compared to the behavior of a soldier when surrounded by the enemies on all sides, without a hope of survival, works in its own interest works to the utter disregard of the commandant’s orders. The nucleus of the cell therefore adopts the practice of dividing itself and multiplying without following the earlier pattern of working in the interest of the person whom it belonged to. Normally the cells at a particular place in the body acquire the shape of the tissue, for example if cells belong to a finger they do take the shape of the finger, but a radically deviant cell behaves otherwise. This is the meaning of uncontrolled multiplication of the cells.

Let us now discuss yet another point of great importance. This is the management of the sources of the energy or vitality in our body. In Ayurveda adequate emphasis is placed on this, but there is no enough work on this aspect in modern allopathy. We know that energy governs all our body and Mind’s movements.

In Ayurveda Kundalini is held as the power centre of the body- mind complex, which is situated at the tail of the back bone at the base of prostate and fallopian tube. Energy emanating from here i.e. mooladhar proceeds to the remaining six chakras viz swadhisthan, Manipur, Anahat, Vishuddha, Agya and Sahasrar. At the level of Manipur it manifests in generation of hormones. Swadhishthan is responsible for sexual attraction and emotional aspect of life. Anahata stands for love, self acceptance and synthesis of different opposing forces in life. Vishuddha stands for creatively, communication, language and sensitivity to sound. Agya stands for thought and intuitions and finally Sahasrar stands for super consciousness and spiritual unity.

If any level of these Chakras has been blocked then the controlling function attached to that gets severely influenced, for example at the Manipur level the secretion of hormones is badly affected and as such the cells may become deformed, may even produce cancer. Ayurveda subscribes to the theory that man should develop all the 7 chakras to enhance the capability of both mind and body. Thus a treatment which includes setting up good balance amongst all the chakras can be said to be holistic as it is not one sided.

We have already discussed at length how in the matter of treating cancer from roots level, Ayurvedic therapy is better and more effective than allopathy. Now let us describe how Lavanya’s Ayurvedic treatment of cancer operates at the ground level.

According to Ayurveda there are three distinct components viz Yukti Vyapashraya, Devopashraya and Satvavajaya; these three are complementary to each other. Under Yukti Vyapashraya the first step is to perform panchkarma. Preparatory to Panchakarma are certain proceses like Pachan, Snehan and Swedan after these under further purifying or Shodhan viz Vaman, Virechan, Vasti, Nasya and Rakta-Mokshana are followed. The main advantage of shodhan viz Vaman is that once this is performed, the chance of recurrence of the disease is eliminated. By means of panchkarma treatment all the three Doshas i.e. Vat, Kafa, and Pitta are got rid off. In other words as a result of Panchakarma the entire body becomes detoxified of the body get eleansed and purified. Because Cancer happens to be the difficult disease, its treatment in Ayurveda is not confined to herbs only. It is treated through Rasa-Rasayan. Rasa-Rasayan means mercury and metals-like Gold, Silver, Copper, Zinc, Nag, Bang, Iron, Nilam, and Ratnas such as diamond Manikya, Praval, Pearl, Panna, Pokharaj. These are converted into ashes (Bhasma) before use for treatment. It is relevant to mention about mercury that in its natural ore form it contains tin and lead that are highly toxic. When this is purified chemically by eight processes it becomes life giving nectar (Amrita). This then becomes the best medicine known hitherto, possessing the capacity to cure almost incurable diseases. Lavanya has succeeded in converting these above mentioned metals and Ratnas into their Bhasmas by adopting the process known as Koopi Pakva Vidha in Ayurveda.

How does a Bhasma become so effective, while its raw material i.e. the respective metal or Ratna was not so. To understand this we should take into consideration the basic principle of nano technology in terms of which by reducing and minimizing the size & weight of a thing its effcicacy can be enhanced multifold. In th case of Bhasma the efficacy becomes enhanced lacs of times. Thus the Bhasma with such efficacy and being easily accepted by the body is capable of curing by supplementing the need of the metal or Ratna in the body’s cells.

A common misconception is quite rife in this context. People believe that intake of metals in the body is harmful. The cause of such a misconception as this is that no adequate research has been carried out on this aspect. Only those persons believe this who have no depth knowledge on Ayurveda. It is a well known fact that when converted into Bhasma, the erstwhile raw metal becomes acceptable to the body, bereft of any side or after effects. Lavanya has earned this knowledge through several live experiences of having administered Bhasmas for treatment and all these have been crowned with success. Thousands of patients Liver Profile (LFT) and Kidney Profile (KFT) do confirm this.

Lavanya has the unique distinction of making Bhasma from mercury, which has been confirmed by the Indian Toxicological Research Institute certifying that the contents of tin and lead in the Parad Bhasma was below diagnostic limit (BDL).

Similarly Food & Drugs Administration Department, Govt. of Maharashtra, Mumbai have confirmed that the Bhasma of Lead as used by Lavanya is from the toxicity associated with lead as ore. Having witnessed spectacular results of Lavanya medicines, many persons raised a suspicion that the Bhasmas might contain steroids. But tests allayed the doubts, and established the fact there. It is proper here to add that the process of making and prescribing the doses is a very exacting and scientific practice. Any flaw or let up might prove harmful like administering toxic metal. But all these flaws and let ups have no place in the fool-proof state of the art technique adopted by Lavanya, because strict adherence to Ayurvedic norms is practiced is observed. By means of conducting quality-testing it is ensured that the given metal or Ratna has got totally converted into Bhasma. The quantity prescribed is also carefully scrutinized and only after obtaining the total profile of capacity/incapacity (Balabala) of the patient doses are determined. Till today not a single case with adverse results has come to light.

By virtue of Lavanya’s treatment, uncontrolled multiplication of the cells stops in a treatment period of one to one and a half months. On the basis of the treatment of thousands of patients it is claimed that if a wart has not yet become a tumor or necrode it can be removed by means of the treatment of tumors in three to four months of during which period it is liquified.

But if it has become a necrode its treatment depends on the fact whether it is situated inside the body or on the body. If it is outside then application of the medicines at the local site is done to remove the rotten parts. But if it is inside it is not possible to use medicines locally at the site of occurrence. Therefore in such cases oral medicines set the limit in treatment. Here also if the purification of the necrode is done at its initial stage then treatment attains success. Again if the part of the body containing necrode has completely decayed then no claim to success may be made in advance.

Although the rotten part of the body affected by Cancer has to be removed but even in this condition it has been observed that the process of uncontrolled multiplication of the cells in the remaining parts of the body stops. The cells of the body that had borne the Radio and Chemo therapy several times and were defying treatment now ultimately cease multiplying in an uncontrolled manner.

Thus it is a matter of great contentment that we have opened the vistas of new success in the field of treating Cancer. This is the way Lavanya has been leading a campaign for minimizing human suffering and saving precious lives.

Yet another breakthrough made by Lavanya in its treatment is to treat the patient by setting a just balance amongst the seven chakras that govern his body and mind.

In terms of Indian spirituality and Ayurveda, energy or vitaligy flow through all the seven chakras about which a mention has earlier been made. When there arises certain disruption in the flow of energy at a particular chakra then as a consequence of this endocrine glands get affected and hormones release is disturbed. This adversely affects the movement of the body. Therefore removal of the obstruction in chakras has to be attended to. Different steps or measures of Yoga, like asana, dharana, dhyan, pratyahar, pranayam etc. are practiced in the total guidance of the mentor. Similarly to supplement this, Reiki, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Aroma therapy, Music Therapy Colour Therapy are also made use of, for faster relief and progress.

We now discuss the role of astrology in Ayurvedic treatment. Deep down our body and mind are intertwined with nature. The triple doshas i.e. Vata, Kafa and Pitta are favorably or unfavourly affected by any change in nature or environment. As seasons change we can easily notice this point. Body temperature, viscosity and dryness etc are affected by nature every now and then. The main causes of change of season is the movement of the planets like sun, moon etc and their distance from earth on human like sun, moon etc and their distance from earth. On human life also the position of the planets has definite influence. The position of the planets their constellnation at the time of birth of an individual is a determinant of his future course of life. The stars that are malefic to the individual patient are propitiated by the performance of Havan. Lavanya obtains the horoscope of the patient right at the time of registration so that the support of medical astrology is taken to decide the course of patient’s treatment.

We also know that musical notes, songs etc have a very soothing impact on our mind and body. According to the Vedas Swar is at the root of the universe. Proper pronunciation of Vedic Mantras lead to effective treatment. Havan and Mantra treatment is the integral part of Ayurvedic system of treatment. In olden times epidermis like, cholera and plague etc were treated in a community way by performing yagnyas. The holy smoke coming out of the fire in the Havan Kunda was a therapeutic measure to eliminate the bacteria and viruses. Lavanya thus makes integrated use of all the three approaches viz Yukti Vyapashraya, Devopashraya and Satvavajaya.

A question may at this stage be asked whether Lavanya treats different and several kinds of Cancer in one and the same way. No ,such is not the case. A patient is a unique human being having a distinct complex of Vata, Pitta and Kafa. Treatment is effected by ascertaining the profile of the individual’s tridoshas and after examining the disorder (Vikriti) and nature (Prakriti). Tridoshas, their nature or disorder has enormous impact on Rasa, Rakta, Asthi, Meda, Mansa, Majja, Shukra and Oja Similarly the state of the cells like Sanchaya, Prasar, Prakop, Vyakti, Bheda etc. is taken note of. The extent of damage to the Dhatus as also to Srotas and Agnis is also assessed. Besides this stool, urine, perspiration ear and eye discharge, semen, menstruation etc are also examined to arrive at the total data necessary for deciding the line of treatment.

Then commences the treatment. The first step is Panchakarma. After examining the Balabal or capacity and vulnerability of the patient, treatment is determined.

The stage of the disease, its intensity and seriousness are duty taken into account and either herbal treatment or both herbal and Rasa Rasayan are administered under Yukti Vyapashraya. At a later stage to establish proper balance amongst the Chakras Devopashraya and Satvavajaya are practiced.

Therefore at Lavanya treatment proceeds, duly backed by ascertainment of the patients capacity- vulnerability (Balabal), the position of planets in terms of the horoscope, the differences in his/her prakriti and vikriti and the status of obstructions in different chakras. All these make a person unique. And this unique status is taken note of. Therefore even though the disease may be common the treatment is different. Ayurvedic treatment is thus not one sided and simplistic. It does not have only symptoms in view, but has in its focus all the different factors and then treats. This makes the treatment capable of removing the disease from roots.
