The effect of the herbomineral composition LAS02 on the apoptosis of MG63 cells was seen as an increase in apoptosis percentage. The apoptosis percentage of untreated cells, 14.39% was increased to 49.45%, 58.71%, and 64.63% on treatment with doses 100, 200, 300µg/ml of LAS02 and it was seen that the apoptosis was more than the positive control taken that is, 47.44%. The drug did not show any significant result at 500µg/ml as shown in Table (ii), Graph (ii) and Figure (1)

The effect of LAS02 drug on the induction of DNA condensation was seen by analyzing the treated cells with 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI stain), a fluorescence stain. A dose dependant DNA condensation was seen from untreated cells (shown in figure) and the dosage of the drug imatinib shown condensation that was comparatively lesser than the dose at 100µg/ml and IC dose 300µg/ml

The ability of LAS02 to induce oxidative stress was evaluated by measuring the levels of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) in MG63 cells. Results showed that LAS02 induced intracellular ROS generation in a dose-dependent manner. The increase in ROS in the treated cells at doses 100 and 300 µg/ml ( shown in figure 3c and 3d) wa s seen from the untreated cells (shown in figure 3a) and was found to be more than the positive drug imatinib (shown in figure 3b).
